INCUBATE is proud to launch the 2021 ProtoX

ProtoX is the pre-accelerator program at INCUBATE that empowers students, staff, researchers and alumni of The University of Sydney to validate an idea through customer discovery.

Throughout 12-weeks, the teams participate in fortnightly group cohort sessions, 1:1 mentoring with our esteemed mentors and gain access to exclusive workshops.

Each class is broken down into two streams: Research to Impact and Startups.

ProtoX Research to Impact: allows researchers of all levels to take their first steps towards industry engagement, part of our commitment to improving the research to commercialisation pathway at The University of Sydney.

ProtoX Startup: is a business agnostic stream for any other students, staff and alumni of the university that wants to grow an idea.

What’s new? MBA to Impact

In 2021, we have a big announcement.

Thanks to an ongoing partnership with Professor Guy Ford, Director of the MBA Program at The University of Sydney Business School, we are connecting enthusiastic, highly educated, and business-minded part-time students and alumni of the MBA program to the startups.

Over ProtoX Program, MBA students will work alongside the ProtoX teams to help develop their ideas and improve industry engagement. Upon completion of the program, the teams and MBA students have the opportunity to formalise their relationship as cofounders, advisors or continue working informally as mentors.

We are thrilled with the receptiveness of both the ProtoX teams and the MBA students, with 100% of ProtoX teams registering to take part in this optional component. and over 50 MBA students registered to participate!
